Welcome and thank you for visiting. Since 2004 I have been creating contemporary hand-carved ceramic trompe l'oeil tree sculptures in the tradition of ancient Yixing, China.

Check out the gallery where you can see examples of hand-carved ceramic trompe l'oeil tree sculptures and teapots from the current Birch series and the original Forest for the Trees weathered log series.

In the latest news:

I will have work in exhibitions during the NCECA ceramics conference in Philadelphia and on both costs this spring. Details are in the Shows & Exhibitions section.

Look for photos of some new work in the gallery by the end of January.

I will be brewing tea at the Grand Bohemian Gallery in Asheville, NC on January 30 and 31 using the Chinese Gongfu method and Yixing teapots. It's free and all are welcome. The hours are:

Saturday, January 30 - 11 AM, 3 PM & 4 PM
Sunday, January 31 - 11 AM, 3 PM& 4 PM

For info and to sign up, visit The Grand Bohemian Gallery online.

Happy New Year,
