Workshops are available for large and small groups. Presently workshops have a focus on wheel throwing and functional work, both of which were intergral to my growth as a potter and an artist. I offer either Opened Earth pottery (as featured in Ceramics Monthly and Pottery Making Illustrated), or wheel-thrown Yixing-style teapot techniques. Both introduce and explore Chinese wheel throwing methods and include a PowerPoint presentation and Kung Fu tea ceremony using Yixing teapots.Time frames and formats (demonstration or participatory hands on) can be modified to meet the needs of your organization. All workshops are geared toward interactivity, discussion, education and fun.

The next workshop will be a one day workshop called The Yixing Influence. It focuses on history, tea wares, aesthetics, and trompe l’oeil inspirations from Yixing. It will include the Kung-fu tea ceremony, a PowerPoint presentation of time spent with Ah Leon in Asia, demonstrations, theories of Yixing teapot design and form, and of course some ceramic trompe l'oeil.
